Viernes 9/9/2016

​Warm up: Practied days of the week by completing 7 of the following phrases. Hoy es jueves. Mañana es viernes. Ayer fuemiércoles. 

Work session: students learned the Spanish speaking countries from around the world by labeling a world map.students only labeled the Spanish speaking countries.

Closer: Students wrote down the date for 11 different Spanish Holidays. They translated these dates from a chart that was in english.

Homework: Study the months in Spanish. 

Jueves 9/8/16

Work session: Students practiced speaking on Spanish with partners. Students spoke with 10 different people in Spanish to find out their birthdays.

Closer: Students wrote down the date for 11 different Spanish Holidays. They translated these dates from a chart that was in english.

Homework: Study the months in Spanish. 

Jueves 9/1/16

Warm up:Students reviewed the verb Ser and Subject Pronouns.

Work session: Students created review posters over one of the following topics: Numbers, Time, The Verb Ser and Subject Pronouns, Definite and Indefinite Articles, and Nouns.

Closer: Students received and started their Study Guides

Homework: Study your study guides for your unit test tomorrow.

Miércoles 8/31/16

Warm up: Students reviewed De Donde Eres with the teacher.

Work session: Students created charts/ graphic organizers for Subject pronouns and the Verb Ser (To Be)

Then students completed audio activities listening to statements and picking the the correct Subject Pronoun or Conjugation of the verb Ser.

Closer: Reviewed vocab for test on Friday.

Homework: Study vocab for test Friday.

Warm up: Students reviewed for their numbers and time quiz

Work session:Students took their Numbers and Time Quz

Closer: Students created 2 graphic organizer for Subject Pronouns and Ser

Miércoles 8/24/16

Warm up: Students practiced time with the teacher.

Work session: Students created their own clocks out of paper plates and construction paper. Then took notes on the back of the clock. The students then practiced asking each other and telling the time in Spanish.

Closer: Continued watching the movie Selena from when I was out Monday and answered video questions.  .

Homework: Continue working on time worksheet due Friday..

Martes 8/23/16

Warm up: Students practiced conversation and numbers 1 on 1 with the teacher.

Work session: Students created their own clocks out of paper plates and construction paper. Then took notes on the back of the clock. The students then practiced asking each other and telling the time in Spanish.

Viernes 8/19/16

Warm up:Students practice numbers 11-30 out in the hall in groups of 3.

Work session: Students cut out clocks to use as manipulatives to learn time. Students then learn how to tell time on the hour, from 1-30 minutes, and then from 31 to 59 minutes.

Students then practiced telling each other the time.

Closer: Students then had to individually translate the time for Mr. Chance before they left class.

Homework: No homework! Enjoy your weekend and the football game tonight!.

Jueves 4/18/16

Warm up:Students were randomly paired to speak with each other.

Work session: Students practiced letters and numbers by playing Battleship..

Students sang the Numbers Rap.

Students then completed the 4 activities on pages 16 & 17.

Closer: Practice numbers quiz.

Homework: Study the numbers 1-30 in Spanish. You must know these numbers to tell time tomorrow.
