Warm Up: Introduced the topic of immigration and how it is affecting today’s political landscape. Students shared their opinions.
Work Session: Students then watched the movie La Misma Luna (Under the Same Moon), about a boy named Carlos crossing the US border to find his mother. While watching the movies students answered matching and true false questions. Once the movie is completed students will write a 1 page paper either reviewing the movie, analyzing a character, or explaining the theme of the movie.
